I loved having the focus on Pippa and Arjun, especially since I’ve been dying for her to leave her engagement of convenience. The Righteous was entertaining, and it dove deeper into the Sylvan Vale. There are several reasons as to why this was the case, which I will get into shortly.īefore I say anything, I was thrilled to once again dive into one of Renée Ahdieh’s books. This was my second most highly anticipated read of 2021, and it wasn’t as compelling as the rest of the series. To the point where it, unfortunately, felt like a filler book.Īnd I don’t state these types of opinions lightly. The book was entertaining and the writing was still beautiful, but it was fairly inconsistent with the rest of the series. And as much as I enjoyed this book, there were quite a few things that could have been better. If you have read my reviews of The Beautifuland The Damned, then I’m sure you know that I love this series. The Righteous by Renée Ahdieh is the third book of The Beautiful Quartet.
